Cactus League 2027: Schedule, Stadiums and Where to Stay
Cactus League spring training opens Friday, Feb. 19, 2027, with 15 Major League teams playing at 10 ballparks across Greater Phoenix (Cactus League). The official schedule lists 229 games across February and March 2027, and game times are still listed as TBD (Cactus League schedule). If you're planning a group trip, start with the schedule, pick your parks, then book one home base.
The Cactus League and its teams are third parties. Trailstead Stays is not affiliated with the Cactus League, MLB or any team, and we don't sell tickets.
When does Cactus League 2027 start?
Opening Day is Friday, Feb. 19, 2027, with eight games (Cactus League):
| Matchup | Ballpark |
|---|---|
| Cubs at Athletics | Hohokam Stadium, Mesa |
| Angels at Brewers | American Family Fields of Phoenix, Phoenix |
| Rockies at Diamondbacks | Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, Scottsdale |
| Diamondbacks at Giants | Scottsdale Stadium, Scottsdale |
| Padres at Mariners | Peoria Sports Complex, Peoria |
| Rangers at Royals | Surprise Stadium, Surprise |
| White Sox at Dodgers | Camelback Ranch-Glendale, Glendale |
| Guardians at Reds | Goodyear Ballpark, Goodyear |
Game times are listed as TBD. Check the official schedule before you book anything you can't change.
Is there a risk the 2027 schedule changes?
Yes, and you should plan for it. The MLB Players Association says the current Major League collective bargaining agreement expires on Dec. 1, 2026 (MLBPA). If the league and players haven't reached a new agreement by then, spring training dates could be affected. Until there's a new deal, favor refundable flights and tickets, read every cancellation policy, including your lodging's, before you pay, and recheck the official schedule before you travel.
What are the 10 Cactus League stadiums?
Every ballpark and its home teams, from the official Cactus League site (Cactus League):
| Ballpark | City | Home team(s) |
|---|---|---|
| American Family Fields of Phoenix | Phoenix | Milwaukee Brewers |
| Camelback Ranch-Glendale | Glendale | Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox |
| Goodyear Ballpark | Goodyear | Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Guardians |
| Hohokam Stadium | Mesa | Athletics |
| Peoria Sports Complex | Peoria | Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres |
| Salt River Fields at Talking Stick | Scottsdale | Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies |
| Scottsdale Stadium | Scottsdale | San Francisco Giants |
| Sloan Park | Mesa | Chicago Cubs |
| Surprise Stadium | Surprise | Kansas City Royals, Texas Rangers |
| Tempe Diablo Stadium | Tempe | Los Angeles Angels |
Five ballparks host two teams each, so 15 teams share 10 parks. For a map, use the official Cactus League stadium map.
Which 15 teams play in the Cactus League?
Arizona Diamondbacks, Athletics, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Guardians, Colorado Rockies, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers (Cactus League).
How do you get Cactus League tickets?
Each team or ballpark sells its own tickets. The official schedule links every game to its ticket page (Cactus League schedule). Buy there, not from an unofficial reseller, and check the team's site for seating and bag rules. We don't list prices because they vary by team, game and seat.
How do you plan a multi-ballpark trip?
The Valley is big: the official trip planner describes Greater Phoenix as more than 500 square miles spread across 24 cities (Cactus League trip planner). A few habits help a group see more than one park without a rushed day:
- Filter the official schedule. The schedule filters by team, date and stadium, and you can save games to a personal list (Cactus League schedule). Start with the must-see games, then fill the gaps.
- Group days by city. Look at the city column above. Scottsdale has two parks (Scottsdale Stadium and Salt River Fields), and so does Mesa (Hohokam Stadium and Sloan Park); Tempe has one. Glendale, Goodyear, Peoria and Surprise each have one. Plan one city or one neighboring pair of cities per day, and check the route in your own map app on the day.
- Wait for game times. Times are TBD as of Oct. 1, 2026. Don't plan two games in one day until the official times are posted.
- Split the group if you need to. With more than one car, part of the group can catch a second game while the rest heads back to the house.
- Keep rest days. A pool afternoon between ballpark days keeps a week-long trip fun.
We don't publish drive times between ballparks or from our homes. Traffic in spring training season varies, so check live directions before you leave.
Where should a group stay for spring training?
A whole home in Scottsdale gives the group one kitchen, one place to regroup after games, and room for everyone. Trailstead has two Scottsdale homes:
- The Scottsdale Social: five bedrooms, three baths and nine beds for up to 18. Private pool, hot tub, basketball court, putting green, permanent Snookball and 15+ games. Driveway parking for four cars (The Scottsdale Social). Book ballpark tickets directly with each team; none are included with the stay (The Scottsdale Social).
- The Sunkiss: five bedrooms (four kings plus a bunk room), three baths, sleeps up to 16. Private pool, included hot tub, a backyard sport court set up for pickleball and basketball, and a putting green (The Sunkiss).
Both homes are residential, with house rules. Neither permits parties, and neither is offered as an event venue (The Sunkiss; The Scottsdale Social). Optional pool heat is available at both, bought for the whole stay with at least three days' notice: $125 per night at The Scottsdale Social and $100 per night at The Sunkiss. Hot tubs are included. Compare them in The Sunkiss vs. The Scottsdale Social.
