What this site collects

Trailstead Stays is a discovery and planning site. We do not complete bookings or payments on this site.

When you arrive from a campaign link, we store a small set of campaign values in your browser’s session storage for the duration of your visit: the campaign source, medium, campaign name, content and term, the page you landed on, and the host of the site that referred you. These are cleared when you close the tab.

Trip requests and inquiries

When the trip-request form is available and you submit it, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, preferred home, dates or month, guest count and message so we can answer your request. The submission is stored in our backend and emailed to the owner. We never sell this information.

We do not send your name, email address, phone number, travel dates, guest count or message to analytics.

Analytics

Aggregate analytics measure which pages and links are used. Events record the page path, destination, property, link placement and the destination host only.

Bookings and payments

Bookings and payments are handled by our booking platform, Guesty, under its own privacy policy. Property links may also take you to a home’s own website, which has its own privacy policy.

Google Ads measurement

Google Ads measures page visits and booking-link clicks, not completed reservations. Google receives page information and the booking destination without query parameters; we do not send guest identities, travel dates or group sizes in booking-click events. Advertising measurement is off in consent-required or unknown regions until you accept. Elsewhere it is enabled unless you reject or signal a privacy opt-out. Advertising settings lets you reject or withdraw at any time. Choices, timestamps, a browser-local identifier and the notice version are retained in this browser, including earlier choices when you withdraw. No customer matching or personalized advertising is enabled by this installation. Existing analytics is managed separately.

This site uses Google Analytics to understand visits.

Access and deletion requests

To request access to or deletion of information you submitted, email mike@squaredadvisory.com. Residents of some states, including California, may have additional privacy rights. We honor those requests through the same email address, subject to applicable law and any necessary identity verification.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or our practices change. When we do, we will update the last-reviewed date below.
