When to go
Scottsdale's golf season peaks in the cooler months, typically from fall through spring. Courses commonly overseed in the fall, which can mean temporary closures or changed conditions; ask each course about its schedule. Summer golf is possible early in the day, but the heat is serious.
Big event weeks — the WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale and spring training — change demand for tee times and lodging. See our WM Phoenix Open and Cactus League guides.
Well-known courses
TPC Scottsdale's Stadium Course hosts the WM Phoenix Open. Troon North and Grayhawk are well-known desert courses in north Scottsdale, and We-Ko-Pa sits on the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation east of Scottsdale. The area has many more; Experience Scottsdale keeps a directory.
Rates, access rules and booking windows vary by course and season, so check each course directly — we do not quote green fees.
Booking for a group
For foursomes and larger groups, call or book online as early as each course allows. Ask about group bookings, cart rules, pace-of-play expectations and cancellation terms before committing.
Off the course
Plan one non-golf day: a sunrise hike, Old Town, or simply the pool. Our Old Town Scottsdale guide covers evenings out.
