How a group of 10 splits the rooms

The Tamarack has six bedrooms, nine beds plus a trundle and four and a half bathrooms: two queen rooms, a king room, a room with two queens, a twin-over-two-twin bunk room and a queen-over-queen bunk room with a trundle. The maximum is 10 guests overnight. Couples take the king and queen rooms, and children use the two bunk rooms.

A day from The Tamarack

The house is set up for groups who are outside most of the day:

  • Summer morning: paddleboards and a public Flathead Lake beach or boat ramp.
  • Afternoon: putt-putt, bocce or axe throwing at the house, subject to conditions.
  • Rainy day: the kids' playroom, climbing wall and game room.
  • Evening: stone fire pit, hot tub and sauna.

Seasons at The Tamarack

Summer is lake season, with paddleboards available. Fall brings golden larch drives. In winter, Blacktail Mountain near Lakeside is the smaller, quieter ski option and Whitefish Mountain Resort the larger; snowshoes are available, and the garage and driveway parking help with gear. Check MDT road conditions before winter drives. The Tamarack has no private lake access.
